CARS (RSL) - Non Technical Arrears
Benefit Entitlement
The CARS-RSL system is
able to accept and update details of the benefit entitlement
for each tenant. This allows the awarding authority to
be identified, the payment frequency and whether the payment
is in advance or arrears.

Using the benefit
entitlement details a payment profile is calculated for
tenants receiving benefits. This profile identifies the
amount that the tenant is due to pay and also the benefit
expected and the benefit actually received. This allows
the tenants true arrears to be identified and also allows any
overdue benefit payments to be identified.
Benefit
Entitlement Changes
As the circumstances of
tenants change their entitlement to benefits will change.
Changes to benefit entitlement, including over and under
payments can be loaded into the system and will result in the
recalculation of the payment profile and the actual payments
expected from the tenant.
