As Council Tax Payers
move from property to property, change names and change
partners the links between their different liabilities can
often be lost. This results in separate accounts and
arrears for which the same person or persons are liable.
These accounts can end up as unrelated arrears cases each of
which is then subject to recovery action.
Case Merge
The CARS system allows
cases for which the same person or persons are liable to be
merged into a single case. Old accounts are merged to
the latest or current case allowing the total arrears to be
recovered.
